1966 Vintage Scotch
An exceptional expression, Bowmore 1966 vintage celebrates a unique year in the distillery's heritage. It was the year Bowmore’s distilleries “Islay Single Malt” was first bottled. Until then all Bowmore malt whisky was sold as “fillings” or filled casks. It was also the year fabled distillery manager Eddie Macaffer joined the Bowmore team, beginning 50 years of dedicated craftsmanship. This is a vintage single malt to be truly savoured.
Tasting Notes
COLOUR
Golden amber hue.
NOSE
Elegant bursts of lychee, peach, and watermelon.
PALATE
Light floral notes, and a dry finish.
FINISH
Fades, leaving flavours of caraway and apple shrub.
AGING
Aged for 50 years in an ex bourbon hogshead cask No 5676.
