BOWMORE ARC-54 UNVEILED
Bowmore ARC-54 is the ultimate whisky. With only a limited number created, it is a remarkably rare single malt whisky that draws on our distillery’s long standing heritage to act as a beacon for our future.
Since 1779, Bowmore distillery has stood on the Islay coast, facing out into thousands of miles of Atlantic ocean. The stone walls of our legendary No1 Vaults, in which we keep our casks, are met by the lapping waves. It was here that for more than half a century, Bowmore ARC-54 developed its distinctive character. As the years passed, the spirit gently absorbed both the natural, enigmatic beauty of the Islay coast and the subtle influence of old Oloroso sherry casks and refill Hogshead barrels it was aged in.
Read on as we reveal the layers to be discovered within this unmatched single malt.

Crafted, inside and out
Before we encounter the whisky itself, let’s open its presentation case.
Just as the decanter is an expression of carefully considered craft, its case has been made with purpose by artisans in Florence.
It is created using the highest quality string-grain calfskin, and contains a chamois fitment that can be removed to take on a dual purpose – providing the decanter with a plinth on which to stand.
With its smooth, sweeping lines, and hues of spun gold from the whisky itself, it’s only right that the Bowmore ARC-54 should be viewed from every angle to appreciate the sense of movement and flow evoked by the fluidity of its form.

United by the promise of design
Whisky that contains decades of matured complexity, contained in a decanter that strikes the eye as entirely fresh. Bowmore ARC-54 is the culmination of both Aston Martin’s and Bowmore’s shared, unwavering commitment to combining craft and creativity with a passion for innovation that looks resolutely to the future.
Aston Martin imagine each car in clay to create sculpture that seems almost to follow natural, organic lines. This is visible in the design of the Aston Martin Valkyrie and its aerodynamic diffuser, which air moves around and through.
Aston Martin brings this commitment to balancing beauty with technical precision to our partnership, allowing us to combine different disciplines to create a ground-breaking work of art, rooted in history while forging the future. Bowmore ARC-54 is the result of this collaboration, which underpins the calibre of quality on display in the specially created decanters.
Together, we made history with the Bowmore ARC-54, bringing together the heritage and engineering prowess of Aston Martin with the legacy and craft of Bowmore. This is a new pinnacle in a continuing, shared journey through the arc of time.

The art of the decanters
Muscular, yet elegant. Subtle, yet stand-out. Natural, yet man-made. Created through the knowledge handed down by generations of distillers, yet an innovation that belongs to the future. All of these elements combine to embody a sense of flow; as if the decanter is not a container for the whisky, but a continuation of it.
Creating such a rare object was a feat of great focus. Glassblowing the decanters alone was a delicate task, requiring the utmost skill. The result is a work of artful craft that evokes the weather-worn crests of Islay’s coastline, as if they’ve been captured in sculpture.
Please drink responsibly and never drink and drive.
